Graduating Senior Madelyn Rininger is an aspiring artist who is eager to start the next chapter of their life. Madelyn will be attending Delaware Community College in the Fall as a Studio Art Major. Their favorite art medium is watercolor wash however they also enjoy sketching, illustrating, and digital art.

Surviving and now graduating high school during a pandemic, makes this life accomplishment for Madelyn more meaningful.

Madelyn states, “My high school years were different due to the pandemic. But I felt better knowing that I was sharing it with other people. I was not the only person going through the hardships caused by the pandemic. It was nice having the support from others who were going through the same exact difficulties.”

The many courses Madelyn has taken at Achievement House Cyber Charter School have prepared her greatly for the future. Currently, Madelyn is participating in the “The Graduation Project” course in which students are asked to complete and present a project that embodies the knowledge, skills, and experiences attained throughout their high school career. Madelyn has determined that their project will definitely involve painting to showcase their talents and highlight why they are pursuing a future in art.

When asked how being a cyber school student has prepared Madelyn for the future they said, “AHCCS has strengthen my work ethic and gave me more time to fully understand classroom topics. “

At AHCCS every class session is recorded, and these recordings are available on demand for students. Madelyn would sometimes go back and watch a class recording to better understand the subject matter and reinforce the information to be learned.

In the future, Madelyn is looking forward to being more independent. Another one of Madelyn’s significant future goals is to travel as much as possible.

Madelyn revealed, “Traveling is something I really want to do. I want to travel as much as possible. I am looking forward to exploring and experiencing as much as I can.”

Madelyn, AHCCS is so proud of you and cannot wait to see you succeed in your future endeavors!
