Graduating senior Diamond Rivera is a tech savvy cyber student who dreams big. Diamond was accepted to every university she applied to while receiving presidential and academic scholarships from each acceptance. She has decided to further her education at Susquehanna University as a Psychology major. Diamond has decided to attend Susquehanna University because of their excellent Psychology program where she will be able to work in a professional rat lab.

Diamond chose to enroll at Achievement House Cyber Charter School because of the electives that are currently offered. She believes that the course that she has taken at AHCCS have taught her useful skills that she will utilize in the future.

Diamond said, “Achievement House has given me and other students many classes and opportunities to learn things that will help us in the future. I really learned in depth about resumes, how to write checks, and save money, which has helped me a lot.”

Diamond’s high school years have helped her discover who she is and who she wants to be in the future. Throughout that journey, many Achievement House teachers have assisted her tremendously, but Mrs. Burkhart, Mrs. Hoynack, and Mrs. Barbour have made a lasting impact on Diamond.

Diamond said, “They are just very genuine woman and are so welcoming. They way that they teach their classes just made me want to learn their subjects more, and I think that they are fantastic. I truly look up to who they are as people.”

When looking towards graduation Diamond is most excited about knowing her hard work has paid off. Five years from now she hopes to be attending grad school to be a therapist and living on her own. She is looking forward to embarking on her next journey and becoming who she ultimately wants to be.

When asked what advice Diamond would give younger Achievement House students she said, “Always do your work on time, ask questions, try to find a passion or something your like in every class, and by doing all of the above you will achieve many things.”

Congratulations, Diamond! We know that you will keep working hard to reach your goals!
