Achievement House BLOG

Each of our students is assigned to a Homeroom Coach whose job it is to support your child academically. For our Special Education students, the Homeroom Coach is also their special education teacher. What are some of the ways Homeroom Coaches can help your child be successful?

Homeroom Coaches:

  • Build supportive relationships with students and parents to increase student engagement in academics;
  • Monitor student progress and attendance;
  • Help students with organizational skills such as creating schedules and assignment lists;
  • Collaborate with subject teachers and counselors to promote student success in all areas;
  • Work with new students to ease the transition to online learning; and
  • Help with school forms, such as change of address, internet reimbursement, or excuse for absence.

Ask your child who his or her Homeroom Coach is and reach out to them! They are eager to speak with families and get to know the student so that they can help them reach their potential!
