As Marek Manikowski prepares to graduate from Achievement House Cyber Charter School, he carries with him not only a high school diploma but a clear vision for his future and the motivation to make it happen. Marek’s drive, adaptability, and ambition are evident in both his academic journey and post-graduation plans.
Marek has set his sights on a career in real estate. Once he turns 18 this summer, he plans to enroll in a real estate course and begin working alongside a mentor who has already offered him a position. His ultimate goal is to build his own business, beginning with earning his license, gaining experience, and eventually investing in rental properties.
“I want to create consistent monthly income through real estate,” Marek explains. “I know it will take time, but I’m ready to put in the work.”
In addition to his professional aspirations, Marek is a dedicated athlete. He plays travel baseball with the Erie Junior Seawolves, a college showcase team that has him traveling across Pennsylvania and Ohio. While real estate is his primary path, he remains open to opportunities in baseball, including the potential for college scholarships.
Throughout high school, Marek discovered that cyber school provided the flexibility he needed to balance academics, athletics, and personal growth.
“Achievement House motivated me to stay on top of my responsibilities,” he says. “It taught me that success comes from effort just like in the real world.”
One of Marek’s proudest accomplishments was serving as a Student Ambassador. This role provided him with the opportunity to connect with other students, attend conferences, and serve as a representative for the school.
“It was a meaningful experience that helped me grow as a leader.”
At graduation, Marek will proudly wear his Student Ambassador cords in recognition of his service.
Marek’s path to cyber school was shaped by his desire for a more supportive learning environment. After experiencing bullying in public school, he and his family sought out Achievement House, where he could focus on his education without distraction. The change made a significant impact.
“Cyber school gave me the space I needed to grow without the negativity,” he shares.
While he’s excited for what lies ahead, Marek admits he’ll miss the everyday interactions with teachers and students.
“The staff here have been amazing,” he says. “Everyone has helped me in some way.”
He credits Achievement House with helping him build independence, motivation, and the self-discipline needed for his future.
Marek’s advice to other students?
“Stay motivated. Don’t be lazy. If you’re considering cyber school go for it. It gives you the space to focus, the flexibility to grow, and the chance to learn without distractions.”
As he steps into adulthood, Marek is ready to take on real estate, continue chasing his baseball dreams, and build the life he envisions—one goal at a time. Congratulations, Marek! Your commitment to your future is inspiring, and we’re excited to see where your path leads next.
