One of the most fulfilling rewards of a nursing career is the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Achievement House Cyber Charter School’s goal is to make an impact in the life of every student such as graduating senior Juliannis Diaz-Vazquez, by preparing each individual for their future.
Juliannis has chosen to attend Luzerne County Community College in the fall majoring in nursing due to this school’s exceptional nursing program. Her plan is to attend Luzerne County Community College until she can transfer to Penn State University to complete her degree.
Juliannis said, “My teachers and the work that I have been doing in my classes have showed me what I need to prepare for in the next couple of years. Every teacher has been helpful, especially with office hours. This one-on-one time with teachers has assisted me in completing and understanding my work.”
12th Grade Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Galie, has been exceptionally helpful in helping Juliannis prepare for the future. Mrs. Galie assisted Juliannis in the college application process, FAFSA completion and overall college expectations insight. Juliannis has seen tremendous success as a cyber student achieving honor roll in every academic quarter. She describes herself as an independent worker, thus thriving at AHCCS due to her self-efficient nature which is asset when attending cyber school.
Learning about a variety of different subjects created an educational, enjoyable, and fulfilling high school experience for Juliannis. For example, Juliannis learned about chemical reactions in the air which she found both surprising and interesting. Achievement House Cyber Charter School strives to offer a wide variety of classes to peak a student’s interest in an educational and fun way. Juliannis believes that her teachers and courses have prepared her the future.
Juliannis is looking forward to graduating and entering the real world. She is ready to dedicate her time to studying to become a registered nurse.
Juliannis said, “Getting my dream job is something I have been thinking about. I want to have a job that I enjoy rather than just working because I have to.”
Juliannis, AHCCS is so proud of you and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in the future!
