Achievement House is a great place to become a self-sufficient life-long learner. I became a teacher for the love of learning, which I hope to model for all my students. Teachers can make an enormous impact on the lives of young people for their success in the future. We can give them the tools to make the best decisions possible, but, in cyber education, those tools become vital for success, a valuable skill for any student.
Personal Bio
I live in an 1890 farmhouse, so I keep busy maintaining the yard and keeping bats out of the attic. I end up spending most of my time outside or in the nearby woods. Other than teaching, I spend my time playing music, biking, hiking, painting, and writing. I’ve had a lot of odd jobs, including editor, librarian, museum repairman, bike courier and furniture maker. I’ve published several short stories and a novel; I’m hard at work on my second. I live with my wife Erica, our two cattle dogs and a three-legged cat.
