Rachel Jones

location Pittsburgh, PA

I became a teacher because I love learning and sharing science with people. Science is literally all around (and in!) us. Learning about science helps us connect to the world around us and each other.

Personal Bio

I am originally from a tiny town in eastern PA but moved to Pittsburgh in 1995. I love Pittsburgh’s museums and weather. I am married to a home-grown Pittsburgher and have three kids. Outside of school, I enjoy DIY projects, crocheting, walking, reading, listening to audiobooks/podcasts (especially true crime, science fiction, and historical), and growing large houseplants. I love all animals but especially dogs, coffee (all the coffee), Spongebob, movies, baking/cooking, being outside and learning new skills. I have a minor addiction to school and craft supplies.
