I am passionate about creating meaningful educational opportunities that help students and families thrive. Throughout my career, I have been committed to education equity, school choice, and building strong relationships between schools, families, and communities.
I believe that strong partnerships and genuine family engagement can make a lasting difference in a student’s educational journey. I enjoy bringing people together, creating new opportunities, and finding innovative ways to support students and families.
Family is especially important to me. I am the proud mother of four children, and I enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband, Bob, and our blended family.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Close to two decades of experience advocating for public charter schools and education reform in Pennsylvania. Previously served as Chief Relationship and Family Services Officer at Commonwealth Charter Academy, overseeing family services, community engagement, mentoring programs, field trips, community relations, and alumni relations. Also held senior leadership positions focused on strategic partnerships, career readiness initiatives, and alumni engagement. Earlier served as Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools, helping grow membership, expand partnerships, and support the successful acquisition of a $30 million Charter School Program grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION: Appointed to Governor Tom Corbett’s Education Transition Team in 2010 and received the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools Legacy Award in 2022.
LANGUAGES: Fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish.
